Joining a KCD2 roleplay server
Is there a roleplay server for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II?
Yes. Crownlands Roleplay is a whitelisted roleplay (RP) server for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (KCD2), played online through the KCD:MP multiplayer mod. It is set in the Kuttenberg region of Bohemia in 1403, where players live as tradesmen, hunters, nobles, soldiers or brigands in one shared, persistent world.
Does Kingdom Come: Deliverance II have multiplayer?
Not officially: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a single-player game. Players can play it together through KCD:MP, a fan-made multiplayer mod for the PC version, and Crownlands Roleplay runs its KCD2 roleplay server on KCD:MP.
What is KCD:MP?
KCD:MP is a third-party multiplayer mod for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II on PC that lets many players share one game world on a server. You need it to join Crownlands Roleplay; download it from KCD:MP (opens in a new tab).
How do I join the Crownlands KCD2 roleplay server?
To join Crownlands Roleplay, own Kingdom Come: Deliverance II on PC, download KCD:MP (opens in a new tab), then create an account on this website and connect your Discord. Getting started walks you through each step.
Is Crownlands Roleplay free to play?
Yes. Joining the Crownlands Roleplay server is free; you only need your own copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II on PC.
Can I play KCD2 roleplay on PlayStation or Xbox?
No. KCD:MP, the mod that KCD2 roleplay servers run on, works only with the PC version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, so Crownlands Roleplay is PC only.
What does whitelisted mean, and how do I get whitelisted?
On a whitelisted server, only approved players can connect. On Crownlands Roleplay, you are whitelisted once you create an account and connect your Discord, on Getting started or in your account settings: linking puts you in our Discord with the Whitelisted role, and you can join the server straight away.
Can I create my account in the game instead of on the website?
Yes. The game’s own “Create account” makes the same Crownlands Roleplay account as this website, and the same email and password sign you in on both. You still need to connect your Discord on the website before you can play.
Roleplaying in the Crownlands
What is Kingdom Come: Deliverance II roleplay like?
KCD2 roleplay on Crownlands is grounded medieval roleplay: you play one character in 1403 Bohemia and stay in character, speaking and acting as they would. Stories come from the players, through trade, politics, noble houses, crime and law, with consequences that last, guided by the server rules.
I have never roleplayed before. Can I join?
Yes. Crownlands Roleplay welcomes players who are new to roleplay. Read the server rules and the RP guide, which covers building a character, living in 1403 and starting scenes, and ask in our Discord (opens in a new tab) if anything is unclear.
Do I need to know medieval history to roleplay in KCD2?
No. Your character should fit 1403 Bohemia, in how they speak, what they know and where they stand in society, but the RP guide gives you what you need, and the world teaches you the rest as you play.
What can I do on a Kingdom Come: Deliverance II roleplay server?
On Crownlands Roleplay you can learn one of ten trades, from tailoring to smithing; buy and sell houses, shops and workshops; serve a noble house or found your own with a coat of arms; or take to the roads as a brigand. Titles and positions of authority need staff approval.
Can I have more than one character?
Yes. Crownlands Roleplay allows more than one character, but keep them apart: never pass wealth, information, influence or revenge from one of your characters to another. See the rules on characters.
What happens if my character dies?
On Crownlands Roleplay, being defeated does not automatically mean permanent death: your character recovers through the server’s recovery process, and you play their injuries until they heal. No one may declare your character permanently dead without your permission. See Injuries, defeat and death in the rules.
Where and when is Crownlands Roleplay set?
Crownlands Roleplay is set in 1403, in the Kuttenberg region of Bohemia from Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, divided between its noble houses. The map of the region shows the lordships and who holds them.
